Advanced Parlor Mahogany Guitar # 033
As I recall, we originally built this guitar to be featured in an article in a specialty cowboy lifestyle magazine called Rope and Reata.
It sort of became somewhat "forgotten" around here for some time. It resurfaced lately, so here it is! This history explains the star conchos and rope-motif rosette. If my memory is working right, we had originally offered this guitar to the editor of that great, but now defunct publication, but he opted for another one of our guitars instead.
When we set out to design our own version of a parlor guitar, we wanted that 'parlor vibe' but wanted a guitar with a bit more sonic power. So, we widened the body a bit and made it a bit deeper. Most people are surprised when they experience the level of volume that comes out of our smaller guitars. Great tone too, and easy to play. The smaller size makes it a very comfortable guitar to hold. This guitar would be a great choice for folk, Celtic, Americana, or use it as a song writing tool.
This guitar was built in 2013. It looks like it endured a slight seam separation on the lower bout of the top. It was repaired some time ago, and is holding fine. You can see it though, and although this is about the only flaw, we are offering it here at a very attractive price, especially when you consider it is a custom built, American made, fine sounding guitar. A top quality Guardian hard shell case is included with this guitar.
